Granite Bay Home Restoration Project
The Elite construction team addressed multiple areas of damage caused by wood decay fungi.
Key Repairs and Replacements:
1. Exterior Trim and Siding: - Damaged lap siding, 2x4 trim, and water table trim were replaced. New materials were installed to restore the home’s exterior appearance and structural integrity.
2. Garage Patio and Breezeway: - The support posts on the garage patio and the breezeway lattice fencing were severely affected by decayed fungi . These were replaced with treated posts, and galvanized brackets were added to protect against future moisture damage.
3. Staircases and Fascia Boards: - Decayed fascia boards at the rear of the home and damaged sections of staircases were removed and replaced with treated materials.
4. Roof and Observatory Door: - Roof sheathing and the door jambs, including the observatory door, showed signs of decay. These areas were repaired or replaced to ensure durability.
5. Rear Deck and Adjacent Areas: - Significant damage to the decking, framing, and siding beneath the rear deck was addressed. The team removed and replaced the affected wood to stabilize the structure.
6. Chimney Trim and Trellis Rafters: - Exterior wood damage was found in the chimney trim, trellis rafters, and adjacent framing. The damaged areas were exposed, repaired, and reinforced for long-term protection.
7. Painting Repairs: - To complete the restoration, the repaired and replaced sections were painted, ensuring a cohesive and polished look.
The home is now more resilient and visually restored.
